Dr. Ann Chang is an active soloist and lecturer in the U.S. and Europe.  Upcoming solo performances include recitals in Spain, The Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Russia, Croatia and Argentina; and in the U.S., celebrated venues in Spokane, Chicago and Portland (OR).  She is also a Fulbright Scholar to Belgium, and the Vice-Chair of Woods Charitable Fund, which supports public education and advocacy to affect positive social change and improve opportunities for citizens of Nebraska. In May 2008 she was appointed as Artistic Director of the prestigious Lied Center for Performing Arts in Lincoln, Nebraska. In 2001, Ann founded the highly successful, Meadowlark Music Festival, and served as both Executive and Artistic Director for seven years.

KATALIN KOLTAI (guitar)  &  EVA BODROGI (vocal) will present their Marefoot Music on June 23 (20:30) in the Sveti Petar Church in Osor. Their wide repertoire spans from the Renaissance to contemporary music. Éva and Katalin share a passion about new music and the creation of  interdisciplinary performances. Their programme will include works of: PURCELL, DOWLAND, MOMPOU, POULENC, FARKAS, MANGORÉ, OVALLE, etc.

The Beograde-based group sings classic gospels (As I went down, Blessing and Glory, Take my Hand Precious Lord, Jesus, I  wanna be ready, I’ll fly away, I still haven’t found what I’m looking  for, Rain down, This little light of mine, Merry did you know, If we  ever, O happy day, He reigns, etc.)

Voces Insulae, 19-27 June 2010

Europa Nova invites all current and future friends to attend ithe June Chpter of its Voces Insulae Festival, including the Opening of the Phil Stone Center for Advanced Behavioural Studies, between 19-27 June, 2010 in Osor, Croatia.

The programme includes musical events, brainstorming seminars and a gathering of potential parters and network to launch the ongoing activities and the opening of the physical site of the Stone Center in Croatia.

Pianist Thomas Purviance served for many years as an artist Faculty Member of the Westminster Conservatory of Music in Princeton, NJ. As a performing artist during the 80’s and early 90’s Mr. Purviance performed throughout the US and Europe as soloist in recital and with orchestra. He made a return to public concerts with performances in 2006 and continues to perform often. Recently he played the opening concert for the Steinway Society of New Jersey.
